Matt Bangert has 30 plus years of experience encompassing R&D, Systems, Sales, Project and Process Engineering.
A BSME Graduate of Northeastern University, Matt started his career with the Thermo Electron Corporation doing sponsored research & development in combustion, heat, and mass transfer. His position at Thermo provided a unique experience where by upon completion of development projects he also participated in their commercialization and market introduction. Matt next entered the plastics extrusion capital machinery business where he was a Systems Engineer, Sales Engineer, VP of Sales and General Manager of several German-owned US subsidiaries. His experience in the capital machinery business was diverse, working in blown & cast film, thermoforming sheet and process control but his passion was focused on high-speed web handling and winding. It was in the plastics machinery business that Matt gained considerable experience in manufacturing operations as he worked side by side with numerous firms building and launching, in many cases from ground up, new manufacturing operations.
Matt left the plastics capital machinery business to start his own Project Management and Engineering business which he successfully built over a ten year period. Clients included Bosch Thermotechnology, Burton Snowboards, Florida Heat Pump, Jet Boil and Nanocomp. His efforts started with Nanocomp when he, together with Pete Antoinette, designed and then built the Concord and Merrimack New Hampshire facilities. Matt’s efforts in EH&S for Nanocomp have resulted in the design, fabrication, and installation of the systems currently used to maintain the air quality in the production plant - a system that has been recognized by NIOSH as an industry leading execution.
