For all positions US citizenship is an absolute must.

Electrical Engineer/Scientist. This senior level position involves fundamental research and development in carbon nanotube based electrical conductors based on Nanocomp’s high strength CNT yarns and sheets as current carriers and as EMI shielding.  Responsibilities include conducting research on fabrication and processing of CNT coaxial cables and wiring measurements of their properties, proposal writing,, report writing, and presentations to customers.  The incumbent should be familiar with a wide range of high frequency cable characterization technologies and property measurement.  The incumbent should have demonstrated accomplishments based on papers in peer reviewed journals, citations, patents, or other records of significant achievements in the field.    A PhD in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years experience is required.

Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and both written and oral communication skills are required. Some proposal writing experience is desired but not mandatory. The applicant will report directly to the research director.  Prior Security Clearances a plus.  U. S. Citizenship is mandatory.  Please submit three references and copies of three peer reviewed papers along with your resume and cover letter.

Senior Composites Scientist. This senior level position involves fundamental research and development in carbon nanotube composites based on Nanocomp’s high strength CNT yarns and sheets as reinforcing materials.  Responsibilities include conducting research on fabrication and processing of CNT composites, measurements of their properties, proposal writing, report writing and presentations to customers.  The incumbent should be familiar with a wide range of compositing technologies, prepregging technologies, and composites property measurement techniques.  The incumbent should have demonstrated accomplishments based on papers in peer reviewed journals, citations, patents, or other records of significant achievements in the field.    A PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field is required with at least 5 years of experience in field.

Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and both written and oral communication skills are required.   The applicant will report directly to the research director. U. S. Citizenship is mandatory.  Please submit three references and copies of three peer reviewed papers along with your resume and cover letter.

Thermoelectric Scientist. The candidate must have a degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field and have at least 5 years experience in the area of thermoelectric materials and device fabrication. This is an R&D position that is very hands-on. The candidate will help develop CNT thermoelectric materials and devices as part of an existing thermoelectric effort. The successful candidate will work in a laboratory setting, primarily engaged in: material characterization, particularly of thermal and electrical properties, chemical treatment of materials, assembly of materials into a multistage device, and performance evaluations of the thermoelectric properties of these devices. This individual reports to the project leader who in turn reports to the CTO. Excellent organizational skills, with an attention to detail, and written and oral communication skills are vital. U. S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Application Engineer. The candidate must have a technical degree, preferably in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field with at least 5 years experience in some aspect of materials science. This is a hands-on position accountable for the following tasks:

  1. Technical support to selling activities
  2. Identify and prioritize application opportunities for Nanocomp Technologies
  3. Ownership for driving pre- and post-sales customer activities in assigned application market segments
  4. Input to standard product requirements process
  5. Technical support for proposals, technical reports, papers, etc.
  6. Pre-proposal evaluation/qualification
  7. Drive demo capabilities

The Application Engineer will report directly to the VP, Business Development. U. S. Citizenship is mandatory.
