Position descriptions for our Concord, NH facility:

1. System Operator (CVD Deposition)
Nanocomp is looking for a System Operator to conduct CVD deposition utilizing an automated production system for nanotube felts and yarns. A minimum of five years experience is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and some database programming. Please send your resume and contact information for three references to our human resources manager.
2. R&D Technician
Looking for a bright, well organized technician whose duties will be to assist in the research, development, and production of the Company’s carbon nanotubes and nanotube based materials and component products.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; competency with Excel, Word, and statistics; excellent communications skills and mechanical ability. Must be able to take direction and yet be able to work with a minimum of supervision, as well as be a team player and have previous hands-on laboratory work experience.
3. Senior Industrial Engineer
We are seeking candidates for the position of Senior Industrial Engineer. This position will support the expansion and scale-up of Nanocomp’s state-of-the-art manufacturing processes for our breakthrough nanotube sheet and yarn products. Specific duties include: the design, construction and deployment of new CVD reactors, yarn and sheet harvesting systems, and wet chemical post-processing equipment. The successful candidate will also optimize and improve existing units. Knowledge of industrial automation systems, exposure to a quality management system, and skills in chemical processing are preferred. The ability to work with external suppliers to build and deliver components and sub-assemblies is a plus. An advanced degree in mechanical engineering is desired but a minimum of 10 years experience in either pilot or industrial scale plants is required. This is a senior position that reports directly to the VP, Engineering.
4. Materials Scientist, Ph.D.
We are seeking a Materials Scientist with a minimum of 3 years industry experience. The position involves mechanical properties characterization of yarn and non-woven based composite systems. The applicant should be experienced with surface chemistry, carbon chemistry and appropriate characterization techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, TEM, TGA, SEM, high angle x-ray diffraction, and tensile testing of composite materials. A strong record of publications and/or patents is expected. This position reports to the CTO.
5. Student Intern Positions Available at Nanocomp
(Junior/Senior Engineering/Chemistry / Physics Fields)
Nanocomp has a limited number of student positions open for the Fall and Winter semesters at its Concord, NH facility. Only Junior or Senior (college) candidates will be eligible. US citizenship is not required but is desirable. Please send your resume, GPA, and names of three professional references such as professors or past employers to our human resources manager. Experience in nanotube growth, characterization is desirable.
