Dave Gailus has over 25 years of Engineering Management experience in both established and start-up companies.
After graduating from MIT with a BSME, Dave joined Teradyne Connection Systems (TCS), now Amphenol TCS, where he worked in the Machine Development Group and eventually managed the Manufacturing Engineering and Product Development groups. After TCS, Dave joined Spectra, a start-up company, now Fujifilm Dimatix, where he managed Production Operations and Manufacturing Engineering and integrated design-for-manufacture principles in to product designs. Following Spectra, Dave worked for Aavid, now Aavid Thermalloy, where he managed the Engineering aspects of a factory start-up dedicated to producing high volume thermal components for Intel. Dave continued at Aavid as the Director of Engineering, supporting the design and manufacturing process development of custom products for GE, Northrop Grumman, Dell, Apple, Microsoft, Motorola and other large OEM's.
After supporting several highly successful independent manufacturing and engineering consultant engagements, Dave joined Nanocomp as the company's VP of Engineering.
Dave is a hands-on Engineering Professional who prefers to spend as much time as possible in the production area. He brings with him expertise in manufacturing management, process and equipment development, materials development and process control. Over the course of his career, Dave's work has resulted in 19 U.S. patents.
